(Is there an easy, non-sleazy way to serve your readers and support yourself with a little cash?)
Believe me, you aren’t alone in asking. You started your blog because you love it. You’ve kept at it because people have responded. Now, economically, you need for your blog to bring in a little cash (or maybe even more than a little), but you are really uncomfortable with “that marketing stuff.”

Meredith Curtin is your guide to connecting with nature and accessing the intuitive guidance of your higher self, in order to nurture the growth of your idea-seeds.
Where can you turn for help? This is a big step, and you need some support.
Yes, of course there are technical people are willing to help, but they often don’t understand how big a step this is for you and for your readers. And who can help you make your marketing more effective, while keeping it non-sleazy?
Isn’t there a way to get some technical instruction along with some heart-centered business support to make this step just a little bit easier?
Yes! Would you like to skip straight to the details and price?
Beginning a Business is a Big Step
Beginning a business alone is hard for most of us. But there are some simple technical steps that you really can learn to do yourself, if you can find the right person to teach you. And there are some wacky-sounding — and truly fun — exercises to help you and your new business get along a little better.
Yes, you can develop an intuitive relationship with your business.

Wendy Cholbi is your friendly neighborhood web coach and translator of tech-jargon into plain English, so you can quit worrying about the scary computer stuff and focus on doing the thing you love.
Wendy and Meredith have put this class together to address both sides of the challenge, and we’ve put a lot of creativity and thought into making each small step as simple as possible.
The Technical Challenge
The technical pieces to add to your WordPress blogsite aren’t really all that hard to set up, once you’ve done it for the first time. But there are two things about the technology that can stop you cold:
- Selecting exactly the right pieces of technology that match where you and your business are, right now.
- Translating the techno-speak instructions so you can actually put these pieces to work.
Wendy, one of Your Web Coaches, is great at explaining “scary tech stuff” in ordinary language that non-webmasters can understand. She’s also got a helpful toolbox full of tiny technical tweaks you can learn to implement. Yes, you — all by yourself. And these tweaks add up to a quick upgrade for your blog, so you can start to bring in a little cash.
“I can actually do things without feeling stuck or stopped!”
“Wendy, you gave me the space to learn and grow and feel safe. I’m doing things that I never thought were possible, thanks to your patient guidance. I don’t have to struggle along being afraid to tell the teacher that I’m not getting it.
“I now have a new skill. Whoo! I can actually do things (like AWeber and AudioAcrobat) without feeling stuck or stopped. I don’t have that fear anymore, of screwing things up. That’s empowering. You’ve empowered me to do that. I can hear the change in myself.
“Attending your classes has been extremely great. I like being able to ask a question at my level and hear someone else ask a question at their level. Thank you for doing this!”

The Business (and Personal) Challenge
You need support as you take the next step – to convert your blog into a business (however small).
First you need to prepare yourself, the “internal” ground, for your new business – after all, this is your cool idea, and this challenging step will change the current status quo.
Second, you need to develop a good relationship with your new business. What on earth do we mean by this?
Let’s back up a little bit and provide some context, ’cause this may be a new way of thinking for you.
Think of your new business/blog as a seed that you are planting. The seed will grow roots that go deep, and a trunk and branches that circulates nourishment and life energy throughout the new business, leaves that gather energy, and flowers and seeds for more growth.

Seeds contain all the genetic information necessary to grow a new plant. You can actually plant the seed of your business, nurture it, and nature will help it grow.
The seed already carries within it all the information it needs to grow and be healthy - to work for you. You will be providing the work tasks that nourish your business, and your business will develop and grow over time.
Meredith has been working with Nature using some unique and refreshing exercises that support new projects (like adding some money-making ventures to your blog). She had found, over the past 10+years, that working with Nature is always surprising, way easier that she ever thinks it could be, and gently powerful.
Working With Nature
I (that’s me, Meredith) don’t really know what to tell you about working with Nature. You wouldn’t believe me. I’ve been doing it for over ten years now, and I don’t even believe me sometimes.
But I can tell you this. If you are worried about our planet and the state of our relationship with this amazing Earth, if you talk to trees or rocks or even your keys when you lose them, you should try this wacky stuff. I have a few simple, but remarkably powerful, exercises for you to conference with Nature and build a partnership with your business.
You might ask, “What does Nature have to do with a business? Isn’t Nature just the trees, and grass, and mountains—isn’t Nature out there in the wild?”
My answer is “No, Nature is how anything gets created. Even businesses.” And let me tell you how cool it is when you and Nature get together to create. It is just “wow” stuff. All you need to do is come with some willingness to experiment, and see how things turn out. Sceptics are very welcome.
“I’m astonished at how much we got done!”
“When Meredith took me through the steps to conference with Nature, I really didn’t expect anything to happen. I was willing, but, to be honest I was sceptical. After a few minutes, she asked me how I was feeling. And to my surprise, my body was feeling much thicker—dense in a good sort of way.”
“And I am still surprised, astonished really, at how much the two of us got done with the planning of this class in that one-hour call.”

What You’ll Get From This Course
After you’ve completed the six lessons, here’s what we want you to have:
- A clear definition and plan for what you want to do with your new blog business,
- An understanding of how each of the technical pieces fit into the whole “sales cycle” thing,
- The ability to implement the technology to sell your thing to your right people on your blog,
- The experience of being in partnership with your blog business, and
- A real, live website with a sales page and PayPal buttons so you can get paid online.
What’s In This Course
| The Technical Piece | Conferencing with Nature | |
| Lesson One |
Orientation, Getting Your Blog Ready Three settings and eight essential tweaks (they’re called plug-ins and they’re really easy to use) that increase the findability and shareability of your WordPress blog. You’re ready to be seen, so let the world in and make it easy for them to come back and bring their friends. |
Orientation, Defining Your Business Goals We begin with the end in mind by defining what you want to create during this class and describe its purpose in concrete terms. Our first session also discusses why this step is critical to your success for any project. |
| Lesson Two |
Create a Sales Page, Link to Sales Page Create a sales page in WordPress that is separate from your blog (you can even format it differently), and then get the exact URL to create a unique link. |
Committing to Partnership In our first “conference” with Nature, we will create a partnership with Nature to create what we defined in the first week. Then Nature will work with us to create a customized template or blueprint for our success. |
| Lesson Three |
Add PayPal Add PayPal buttons so you can sell stuff. (PayPal’s basic shopping cart has no upfront costs, so this is a “free” addition.) Add a custom “buy” button to three places on your blog: the sidebar, individual posts, and the sales page. Note: You’ll also get instructions to add E-Junkie, a paid shopping cart, that offers more options. |
Conversations with Your Partner (part 1) Communication with Nature is simple, but may not be what we are used to. It is usually intuitive information, but there are some other options. Meredith will share some tips and tales from her own experience that you can apply to your own conversations with Nature. |
| Lesson Four |
Build Your List and Auto-responders Integrate an email auto-responder into your blog, and use it effectively. We’ll discuss the advantages of using a professional (paid) service like AWeber or MailChimp, which protects you from being labeled a spammer and gives you tons of flexibility. |
Conversations with Your Partner (part 2) Getting answers to questions is sometimes challenging. In order to help Nature get the information to you, here are some “rules of thumb” about asking questions, and verifying the answers. |
| Lesson Five |
Questions and Catchup We’ve covered a lot. It’s normal to feel a bit overwhelmed and “behind” at this stage. That’s why this week is for answering your questions. You’re not alone! |
Closing the Project Have you ever noticed that Nature has a lot of boundaries? I have found that asking Nature to help us when we come to the end of a project, that things work a little better. There are fewer loose ends. This module will present a simple, powerful way to close – well, almost any activity. |
| Lesson Six |
Affiliate Marketing Mechanics of being an affiliate for other people’s products, and having affiliates who sell your products for you. This lesson includes instructions to integrate a paid shopping cart (E-Junkie) that has a built-in affiliate program. |
Partnering with Affiliates Tips and strategies about working with Nature to help choose and build relationships with your affiliates. |
How the Course Works
Preparation before the class
First, we want you to have a blog set up using the free WordPress.org software. Most of you already have this step taken care of, but if you don’t have one yet, you can purchase a WordPress Installation by Wendy to get you up and running quickly. Just click “Add WordPress” when you purchase the course.
Please note that we are not talking about the “hosted” option available at WordPress.com — those sites can’t be used for commercial purposes, and we’re talking about building a business here!
It’s OK if you don’t have a ton of content. It’s even OK if you don’t have a single post yet. As long as you know how to login to your WordPress control panel, Wendy will show you how to do all the back-end tweaks we’ll be talking about during class.
We’ll be sending out a welcome email with all the information you’ll need, as soon as you sign up.
Class components
The Audio Lessons: Each lesson is a recording of a 60-minute teleconference call. Each lesson has a technical segment, and a Working with Nature segment, as well as some Q&A.
Call Transcripts: You’ll get the full transcript for each call so you can read at your leisure or follow along as you’re listening.
Instruction and Worksheets: Each class will have downloadable PDF instruction sheets for both segments, so that you can follow along during the class and refer to them later on as often as you need to.
Class Q&A: We’re compiling the excellent questions asked during the live class, so that you can read through and get the answers too. This will be included in the ebook.
And Here’s the Bottom Line!
Each bit of stuff in this class is designed to help take you from “I have a blog” to “I own a money-making blog business.” We haven’t added any fluff. But we also don’t want anything to be in the way of you taking this class.
Normally, a 6-hour homestudy course would cost at least $250. Six hours of consultation with the two of us could run you more than $1200 if you wanted a one-on-one environment. But Wendy and I want to get these techniques and tips into the hands of as many people as possible, so we’re charging only a fraction of that cost.
We’re walking our own talk: We’ve planted the seeds of this course, and we’re ready and willing to let nature show us results we can’t even imagine right now. And all of our own experiences with creating a course and selling it online are going to be included in the home-study version.
